Banda Calypso is a Brazilian musical duo, especially popular in Northern and Northeastern regions of the country. It was formed in the late 1990s by guitarist and producer Chimbinha and his singer/dancer wife Joelma.

The band is seen as a successful model of open business for pop culture. As the band produce their CDs (12 as of 2007) and their DVDs (4) not signing with any labels (national or international), they are able to sell it for fair prices. They are also credited with creating a new style of marketing art in Brazil, especially among lower classes.
